I started dreaming of my own business when my daughter, Ellie, was born four years ago. I had work as an electrician for over 10 years at that point and worked with really great people. I loved the work that I did and I felt proud of the quality of service that I could offer. I loved being invited into people’s homes and having them share their vision of their homes to me.

My job however had me moving to different job sites constantly. I felt that I could never interact with people consistently enough to offer suggestions on how they could execute those visions. I wanted to be able to work at a job where I could come home at the end of the day and tell my daughter that I made people love their home even more.

I named the company Elephant Electric after my daughter’s favorite stuff toy. Now, it’s something we can share, something we both love. I deeply appreciate the opportunity to improve people’s homes or places of work and look forward to working with you.
